We're excited to launch Tendra, a new initiative designed to help local construction businesses develop their skills, build confidence and access new opportunities.
Funded through the Welsh Government's Flexible Skills Programme, Tendra will provide practical support and training to help businesses strengthen their skills, grow their capacity and prepare for future opportunities with Adra and other public sector organisations.
We know that bidding for contracts can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for smaller businesses. The paperwork, processes and requirements involved in tendering can often be a barrier to growth. That's why we've created Tendra, with a simple goal: Building the future, one tender at a time.
Through hands-on workshops and expert guidance, we'll help businesses understand the tendering process, develop the skills they need to submit strong bids and feel more confident when applying for contracts, including larger opportunities through platforms such as Sell2Wales.
Free workshops throughout 2026
Tendra will offer a series of free workshops covering topics including:
- Understanding Adra's tendering procedures
- Pricing projects effectively
- Securing relevant accreditations
- Health and safety requirements
- Understanding social value
- Using AI to strengthen tender submissions
- An introduction to Net Zero and carbon reduction planning
The sessions will be practical, accessible and tailored specifically for small construction businesses looking to grow and win more work.

Rhys Roberts, Business and Development Manager at Tŷ Gwyrddfai, said:

Meet the Buyer Event
The programme will conclude with a Meet the Buyer event, bringing together housing associations and other organisations from across the construction sector to share information about upcoming projects and contracting opportunities over the next 12 months.
