Building Skills for Better Builds: Anthony Roberts Building Contractor at Tŷ Gwyrddfai
Anthony Roberts Building Contractor specialises in new builds and all aspects of construction work, including extensions, renovations and restorations.
The building contractor is currently working on a project that requires the installation of the webertherm XM system. While a recommended applicator will complete the render application, Anthony and his team will be responsible for installing the insulation boards. To ensure the installation is completed to the highest standard, Anthony chose to attend a training course to deepen his understanding of the system.
The Tŷ Gwyrddfai Hub provides a controlled environment with dedicated facilities ideal for this type of specialist training. Based in Machynlleth, Anthony identified Tŷ Gwyrddfai as the closest and most suitable training location.
The training was delivered by Stuart Owen, Application Manager at Saint-Gobain Exterior Solutions, as part of the webertherm XM External Wall Insulation (EWI) course. This course focuses on best practice for installing the system and offers a comprehensive overview of EWI installation from start to finish.

- Preparation requirements
- Practical: Boarding
- Practical: Base render
- Practical: Finishes
- Additional detailing
